In 2006 a evaluation of our program was done by the funding agency and following details emerged. Trafficking is multidimensional problem and it has root causes are
Social
Economical
Legal
Geographical
Religious
Political
A multifaceted approach was designed as it was found that in most programs community at large and direct beneficiaries are targeted but very little is done for the families. Hence, this year the stress was on family strengthening through livelihoods programs in addition to other programs. This year Religious leaders and political leaders were also made a party to the whole program and religious groups were formed.

To prevent trafficking two measures can be adopted:
a. Preventive measure
b. Causative measure

Preventive measures like generating awareness among different duty bearers of the community such as the ICDS members, the health workers SHGs, schools, Panchayat; Administration etc. Causative measures like addressing poverty; illiteracy and other issues, which are helping trafficking to great extent

• "Traffickers can be anybody amongst us". In this respect it is to be kept in mind that that the traffickers have a strong network of people working with them who have the ground level information regarding people in the villages. Therefore work must be done at the grass root level. A need of strong network & vigilance to prevent trafficking is needed.

• Problems of trafficking need to be looked at a micro level but it was observed that on the contrary problem is seen at macro level. Hence, strategies must be developed upon information available from the ground even communication materials to be designed in a bottom up approach to have more affectivity.

• Purulia & Bankura being more impoverished district compared to Murshidabad, still Murshidabad makes the headline whenever the issue of trafficking comes up. Hence survey matrix on trafficking must be based on different demographic and other indicators block wise, which will form a base to address the issue more methodically.

• Some reservation in the government sponsored schemes to be introduced for rescued girls.
• Registration of marriages and migrating labours to be made mandatory at Panchayat level
• To prevent trafficking all need to concentrate more on grass root level working where the actual problem lies.
• Need for sharing information with all like-minded duty bearers.
• Linking of Government schemes like Kishori Shakti Yojna; Sarba Siksha Avijan etc. with campaign programmes could yield better results.
• Creating a special committee to tackle Trafficking. Alternatively already existing District Task Force to be more strengthened to monitor trafficking cases in the district.
• Sensitization programs to be organized with Panchayat; Judiciary; Local NGOs, Police SHGs, Mahila Mandals, ICDS members on the issue of trafficking.
• Induction of Jabala in to the District Task Force, which monitors child rights issues in the district of Murshidabad.
• Documentation of cases for developing a strategy to combat human trafficking.
• Sensitization of media for a better reach among the grass-root level.
• Addressing the problem at a micro-level and developing strategies based on ground realities and need based with right kind of indicators.
• Exchange of information between Jabala and District Authorities to take concrete steps towards prevention of trafficking
• Surveys to ascertain ground realities & impact to be undertaken.
• Lobbying with Authorities to introduce trafficking as subject in curriculum of ICDS programs; Gram sansad meetings and even in High School courses.
• Four traffickers were arrested FIR filed by Jabala last year is still followed by in different courts.
