I. EDUCATION:

Resource poor and marginalised girls between 10-18 years are extended education support through

  • Community Education Centre/ Community Class Rooms - to extend coaching support catering to all major subjects such as ‘English, Maths; Science. Trained teachers, Books and stationaries and computers will made available for enhanced learning experience.

  • Mobile Education Van - for girls spread across a large village and in remote areas who cannot travel to education centres and for other girls interested in studies in a two/three/four-wheeler vehicle with a public speaking system; pre-loaded laptops; smartphones and overhead projectors. Provisions for lending books and resource materials, film shows; quizzes etc. to make learning joyful and to keep interest alive among the girls and facilitate return to schools

  • Smart Phone Banks - in strategic locations in district with 10 phones in each bank, to facilitate digital learning and who can lend phones to the girls to access online classes/sessions based on need and requisitions.

  • Scholarships & English Learning Support - (covering admission fee; books; hostel fee (if any); nutrition and travel support; coaching & tuition fee and others -uniform, stationary, medical etc.)., who will pass secondary examination and in need for higher education & English & Computer learning support for girls who will communicate between themselves online exchanging views, experience and the letters will be shared among other girls. The medium will be English so it will improve the girls’ grasp on the language

  • Peer Education - (Siksha Sahachari -who are in higher classes) will teach 5-7 younger girls in their locality 2-3 times a week

  • Enrolment and Dropout management

  • Digital Literacy: Jabala started Computer Literacy Camps for the Girls in Alipurduar, Murshidabad district of West Bengal and Dumka district of Jharkhand

‘RUN FOR RIGHTS’ - Nearly 100 girls ran 3kms stretch between Alipurduar Chowpatty to Dooars Kanya to raise awareness on girl’s’ rights. The event was organised to celebrate the spirit of International Women’s Day and organised in association with Alipurduar District Police on 12th March 2023

04 victims of Child Marriage who are again enrolled back to school were given text books, educational materials, hygiene kits and dry ration etc. under Victim Support program The Honourable BDO (Block Development Officer) of MJ (Murshidabad- Jiagunj) block of Murshidabad district, West Bengal handed over the same to the girls and assured all possible support on 24th February 2023
